Bigneat safety cabinets are built to a very high standard, using only the best quality materials, microprocessor and fan components. A premium level of operator, product and environmental protection offered at an economical price.
Many year’s of experience and customer feedback has lead to the development of this range which offers excellent access, visibility of the working area, and maximises operator comfort.
Bigneat Cytotoxic Safety Cabinets work in the same way as a conventional safety cabinet, with ULPA filtered supply and exhaust air protecting the operator, the process and the environment. But they have one additional important feature - there is additional HEPA filtration below the worksurface. This filtration minimises the possibility of airborne contamination and further protects the operator.
Room air is drawn past the operator entering the cabinet via the front grille, but does not enter the cabinet interior. This protects the operator from exposure to the potentially hazardous materials inside the cabinet. The working interior is in turn blanketed in clean, sterile air preventing product contamination.
The inflow air velocity, downflow air velocity, airflow path and intake geometry are precisely tuned and tested to create an optimum air curtain at the front of the cabinet.
Cabinet performance is guaranteed by use of ULPA filters, providing 99.999% efficiency for particle sizes of 0.1 to 0.3 microns. The supply filter provides ISO Class 3 laminar flow clean air to the work surface.
Continuous monitoring of the cabinet airflow is displayed on an LCD panel. Audible and visual alarms in case of malfunction/incorrect conditions.
Bigneat Class II cabinets are suitable for agents classified under Biosafety levels 1, 2 and 3.
ULPA filters meet the European Standard EN 1822 for performance testing and loading efficiency.
The cabinet's design, construction and performance comply with BS EN 12469:2000.
Meets the requirements of all relevent safety standards for handling cytotoxic drugs. More details on request.
Over and above a conventional Class II cabinet there is ADDED Protection provided to personnel, and a filter change is possible without exposing the ambient environment or service personnel to potential hazards
