Class II  - Biological Safety Cabinets - TWO Range

For Operator, Product and Environment Protection

Bigneat Class II,biological safety cabinets are built to a very high standard, using only the best quality materials, microprocessor and fan components. A premium level of operator, product and environmental protection offered at an economical price.

Many year’s of experience and customer feedback has lead to the development of this range which offers excellent access, visibility of the working area, and maximises operator comfort.

Description of operation and protection

ULPA filtered supply and exhaust air protects the operator, the process and the environment.

Room air is drawn past the operator entering the cabinet via the front grille, but does not enter the cabinet interior. This protects the operator from exposure to the potentially hazardous materials inside the cabinet. The working interior is in turn blanketed in clean, sterile air preventing product contamination.

The inflow air velocity, downflow air velocity, airflow path and intake geometry are precisely tuned and tested to create an optimum air curtain at the front of the cabinet.

Performance

Cabinet performance is guaranteed by use of ULPA filters, providing 99.999% efficiency for particle sizes of 0.1 to 0.3 microns. The supply filter provides ISO Class 3 laminar flow clean air to the work surface.

Continuous monitoring of the cabinet airflow is displayed on an LCD panel. Audible and visual alarms in case of malfunction/incorrect conditions.

Bigneat Class II cabinets are suitable for agents classified under Biosafety levels 1, 2 and 3.

Standards

ULPA filters meet the European Standard EN 1822 for performance testing and loading efficiency.

The cabinet's design, construction and performance comply with BS EN 12469:2000.

Model BDTWO, a ducted cabinet

For use for all biological applications, a proportion of the circulated air is exhausted to building ductwork via ULPA filters. This traps infectious or dangerous biohazard particles which could otherwise be released to the environment.

BDTWO comes in two model types, either with tempered glass side walls (-G) or stainless steel sidewalls (-S).

Style -G

  • Glass side walls increase all round visibility.

  • Multi-piece work surface, easy for autoclaving.

Style –S

  • Interior formed from one piece of stainless steel with large radius corners making cleaning easy.

  • Single piece removable work surface.

Model BRTWO, a recirculatory cabinet

No ducting required – double ULPA exhaust filters provides double the protection for air returned to back to the room. Two blowers ensures safe operation even if one blower fails. Biohazard particles are trapped avoiding release into the room. Should not be used for applications where radioactivity is present.

This is available with stainless steel sidewalls only.

Key Features

Microprocessor, with easy-to-read LCD panel, controls cabinet functions, blower hour metre tracks operating life.

Dual, long-life ULPA filters for supply and exhaust air.

Clear-view, frameless sash, counterbalanced for one-hand operation.

Removable work-surface is easy to clean. Multi-piece (Model BDE), one-piece (Model BRE).

Lighting is bright, without glare.
