Biological Safety Cabinets
Class I: Operator Protection
Ducted Cabinet

Safety cabinet with a front aperture through which the operator can carry out manipulations inside the cabinet. It is constructed so that the worker is protected and the escape of airborne particulate contamination generated within the cabinet is controlled by means of an inward airflow through the working front aperture and filtration of the exhaust air.

Bigneat’s Class I cabinet draws air past the operator and away via ducting. A negative pressure is maintained within the cabinet minimising the possibility of contamination back to the room. The cabinet has simple to use microprocessor which controls functions and includes audible and visual alarms in case of incorrect air flow conditions.

The cabinet’s design, construction and performance comply with BS EN 12469:2000. HEPA filters fitted as standard comply with EN 1822.

Bigneat Class I cabinets are suitable for agents classified under biosafety levels 1, 2 and 3.
